Meet Magpies: Small Pies, Big Impact!Magpies is a homemade pie company, run by a local mother-daughter duo (Aarthi and Addy) who were looking for ways to spend more time together. Magpies started with two of their passions – eating pie and hanging out with each other. With no professional background in baking or cooking, when they started the business, Aarthi said their first task was to experiment with different recipes for the perfect pie crust and fillings. As she perfected the recipes to her original five-inch mini dessert pies, the business grew quickly into hand pies, full size pies, and even savory pies.
The name Magpies means “MAGical handPIE,” which stemmed from their hope of giving customers a magical experience when they eat their pies.
