Apple Ginger Almond Butter Bar
The fresh-roasted almond butter base in these bars is chock full of crystallized Fiji ginger and unsweetened dried apple, which complement the crunch of Michele's Granola and puffed quinoa. With just the right amount of sweetness and salt, it's a bar that will wake up your taste buds! These fiber-rich, high-protein, antioxidant powerhouses are perfect as fuel for intense workouts and post-adventure recoveries, and they're also simply delicious hunger-curbing snacks.
Big Spoon Roasters makes handcrafted nut butters and snack bars from scratch with world-class ingredients sourced directly from local and like-minded producers who share their dedication to authentic quality and sustainability. They believe that our food choices matter and pursue a mission to build a healthier relationship with our planet through delicious, nutritious foods made without compromise. While serving as a Peace Corps Volunteer in Zimbabwe, Co-Founder Mark Overbay helped local farmers harvest, roast, and stone grind peanuts into fresh, handmade peanut butter. To replicate the classically sweet, salty, and spreadable peanut butter from home that he craved, Mark added honey, sea salt, and coconut oil to the mix. The deliciously fragrant, mouthwatering result was a revelation that the best foods are often the simplest, made with fresh ingredients, care, and craft. Inspired to recreate that unforgettable peanut butter experience and share their passion for handcrafted, sustainable food with others, Mark and his wife, Megan, launched Big Spoon Roasters in January 2011.
